This Privacy Policy explains what information CommsCast collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to CommsCast's website, dashboard, and connected channels (email and Telegram).
Account & organization information: your email address, your organization's name and type, and the events and messages you create.
Member information: the name and email address (and, if provided, other contact details) of people who join your organization's Inner Circle to receive announcements.
Photos: images uploaded through Telegram, the web upload portal, the admin dashboard, or an optional connected Google Drive folder.
Your organization's public website content: if you give us your organization's website address, CommsCast reads that public page to help pre-fill your organization's profile. This applies to publicly published organization content, not private personal data.
Payment information: handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. CommsCast never receives or stores your full card number.
Usage information: basic technical logs (like AI feature usage) that help us run and improve the service.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Every photo you add is private to your organization by default. It's only shown on your organization's public page after an administrator specifically releases that individual photo to public. Photos that haven't been released stay insiders-only.
We share information only where it's needed to run CommsCast:
We don't share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.
We keep your organization's data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your organization's account and data at any time by emailing [email protected]; we'll process deletion requests within 30 days.
CommsCast accounts are for organization administrators and are not intended for children to sign up directly. Some organizations that use CommsCast (schools, youth groups, sports leagues) may add event or photo content involving minors; that organization — not CommsCast — is responsible for having the appropriate parental or guardian consent before adding that content.
CommsCast is not designed to receive Protected Health Information ("PHI") under HIPAA, and we do not act as a HIPAA business associate for any organization. If your organization provides healthcare services — a medical, dental, mental health, or similar practice — please do not include PHI or other patient health information in the event details, member records, messages, or photos you add to CommsCast. Content you add is processed by our infrastructure and by the third-party AI providers described in Section 4 above, none of which are engaged under a BAA.
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and access controls — to protect the information you and your organization share with us. No system is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and respond quickly to any issue we find.
You can ask us what information we have about you or your organization, correct it, or request deletion, by emailing [email protected].
We may update this Privacy Policy as CommsCast evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever we make a material change.
